You can now install the Hotjar tracking code on your WordPress website from the newly released, official Hotjar plugin for WordPress.
Get started with Hotjar without requiring a web developer to add the Hotjar tracking code to your WordPress site. All you need to do is install the Hotjar WordPress plugin, copy over your site id from the Hotjar admin and start setting up your Heatmaps, Recordings, Incoming Feedback and all other Hotjar tools for your site.
Although there were a number of similar plugins already available for WordPress, none of them were supported by us. We decided to build our own official plugin, which we could readily support, to provide the most reliable experience to our users.
Hotjar’s WordPress plugin is simple and lightweight, but it unlocks the power of our entire suite of user behavior and feedback tools. If you need some quick ideas on how to get started, check out this quick guide to using Hotjar on WordPress to improve your website UX.
