Good news for Surveys fans—it just got a whole lot easier to spot user issues in survey responses.
If you use Hotjar Feedback, you’re probably familiar with the screenshots attached to feedback responses. Well, Surveys just joined the screenshot party.
When respondents start answering a survey, we’ll auto-capture their screenshots and show them on the Responses tab in Surveys. Just like the experience in Feedback, you can view screenshots by clicking on them.
So, next time you see a vague user response to one of your on-site surveys, such as “It doesn’t work,” check the screenshot to find out exactly what the comment relates to.
Having more context to survey answers helps you solve issues quickly without digging deeper.
👉 Start capturing screenshots for an active popover, fullscreen, or button surveys created before December 11, 2023, by manually checking the box ‘Automatically include a screenshot with each response’ in the Behavior step.
For on-site surveys created after Dec 11, the screenshot option is enabled by default.
We’re currently building all your favorite Feedback features in Surveys, so you’ll soon be able to create a variety of surveys that collect more responses and deeper insights.
In the meantime, try out our ‘Feedback button’ template in Surveys to collect more feedback quickly.
